Hylikos Programmers
The cult of red-eyed macaques has already become a pillar of society. I'll say it again: these are macaques.
There are so many instances of bad code that listing them without generalization would fill a book, even from memory.
One point: the "share" button.
1. It's some kind of incomprehensible mess with a bunch of buttons and a "copy link" button somewhere on the side. And these assholes are pulling the link separately from the post via the network, even though it's worthless and can be downloaded immediately.
2. The link is a tracking link, not a clean one. It ends in some kind of phony code, meaning it's a form of phishing (I'm talking about YouTube).
And every problem that could be solved with two lines of code and zero memory is solved with enormous expense.
Are there any non-macaques?
People, in general, invented everything 60+ years ago. Since then, nothing new has hit the market. The main thing that distinguishes humans from macaques is curiosity. That's why humans will search, while macaques will go into hysterics and scream about modernity.
Macaque behavior is predetermined. Because success in the current meta is determined by involvement in mafia networks, macaques demonstrate loyalty to them.
There's also a middle layer.
The psyche of the demiurge.
They may know about history, because mistaken people will decide to discuss it with them.
But they also lack true intelligence.
They'll laugh at a Viber coder who wants to show a site via a localhost link, but they won't lament that such a fundamental and cool idea as local hosting hasn't gained traction.
Clouds of corporate locusts have engulfed the concept of the personal computer.
Even though literally all the music I've ever listened to, all the photos and videos, all the audio I've recorded, all the correspondence, chats, TXT blogs, and books I've read would fit on my laptop's SSD. And I can afford to buy an HDD that could hold all the movies and audio tracks from all the videos I've ever watched.
Like using my laptop as a server for all my needs.
But that's anarchy and borderline extremism. It's like going into the woods, building a house, and living in it.
That's true, and even old-school hackers do live that way. But it's not blessed by the Council.
