Thick technologies for girls
Modern food production is frankly anti-feminine. Pants without proper pockets are a good symbol, but I'll go further. Of course, the demonic matriarchy also imposes its norms on men, but they go hand in hand with patriarchy. Any joke of oppressing one gender by another hits that gender in the next iteration. It doesn't make much difference whether we're talking about technology or food. For example, the imposed feminine vibe is salads and desserts. A man would rather invite someone over for shawarma. But that's a different vibe, less cultured and safe, so for the sake of shared comfort, both go eat overpriced junk. The same goes for technology: oh, women need something lighter and thinner. As a result, good old thick laptops, which were ideal if you didn't carry them around every day, are disappearing from the market.
Men are usually described as ascetic pragmatists, and women as luxury-hungry slackers. This completely reverses the real game. There was some research, but why would I need it? I already know this as a man. Men evaluate women not by their possessions, but by the vibe they exude. Whereas women evaluate men by their possessions. And that's normal. Possessions are the passive backdrop to life. Vibe is the active element. I like the Japanese version, where the moon god is a man and the sun goddess is a woman. That's closer to the truth. Historically, the task of "managing property" meant very complex household management, not burning through a spouse's money. And it was more about ascetic frugality. A man could earn more, but that's unstable. Male bragging is understandable. But what about women's? "Look, I have a rich husband who's buying my company, throwing money away." Technically, it's understandable that if a man can't wear jewelry according to etiquette, he should drape the woman with it, but that's a man's game, not a woman's.
More broadly, men need subtle things. The gains from economies of scale come only through scale. Women's activity is impulsive, even physiologically. Again, an anthill would happily send sterile, non-menstruating females on long expeditions instead of men. But that's not the case yet. Therefore, men need delicate tools adapted to specific situations. Women, on the other hand, prefer thicker, more reliable items suitable for their initiatives over shorter distances.
Unless, of course, we're talking about sex. In a patriarchal world, a woman must be a prepared victim with no reserves of strength, equally capable of being saved or devoured. But if you think about it, this seems pitiful for both parties. Again, in civilization, we're far removed from any real dangers, so this is just a chimerical game.
But it's almost impossible to manage the property imposed by patriarchy well. The best option is to live like a man, but this is punished as before, just differently.
